Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail: How to unlock Pictomancer job

Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail features a pair of new jobs: Viper and Pictomancer. If you’re more of a fan of magical spellcasting, you must head over to Old Gridania once you’ve met the requirements and pick up this new class. Known for painting remarkable portraits and bringing them to life in violent ways, the Pictomancer is an incredibly fun new class. Likely based on the Final Fantasy 6 character Relm Arrowny, players will splash brilliant colors onto the battlefield.

Where and when to unlock Pictomancer job quest in Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail

You can begin unlocking Pictomancer in Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail by accepting the quest The Joy of Pictomancy. This can be found in Old Gridania, thanks to the Cheerless Hearer NPC. The closest teleport point to it in Old Gridania is the Conjurer’s Guild, so teleport there and accept the quest when you’re ready. However, you must meet one important requirement: Reach level 80 with any combat job.

Heading to this place and completing a simple quest will give you the Pictomancer job in Final Fantasy 14. It requires you to head back to the main Aetheryte Plaza of Gridania, and survey a spot on the ground for a “Meddlesome Moogle”. After a chat, he’ll run off, and you’ll head further south in New Gridania to be interviewed.

Additionally, you will receive the Soul of the Pictomancer Job Crystal and your first weapon. If you’ve prepared ahead of time for Dawntrail’s inevitable launch, you will probably already have a full set of gear for this job.

It doesn’t matter how you answer Kupopo for the Pictomancer quest in Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail, even for artistic talent - it’s all about the imagination, not the actual artistic talent the person possesses.

Completing this job quest will give you a set of 515 item level gear, your first brush, and the Soul Crystal for Pictomancer in Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail. However, if you want something better, you can also unlock a full set of 530 gear by spending Tomes of Poetics at the Eulmore armor vendor.
