With tons of loot to discover, you will want to register some of their favorites as Attached Items in The First Descendant. Simply put, this is a "Favorite" feature in the game, a must-have for any looter-shooter worth its salt. It lets you assign a desired weapon as Attached so it's not accidentally sold or dismantled while managing your inventory.
Inventories getting full of items after a few missions are common, so this mechanic ensures things don't go out of hand when it comes to inventory management.
Here's everything to know about labeling Attached Items in The First Descendant.
How do you tag Attached Items in The First Descendant?
Marking items as favorites is easy: enter the Inventory and highlight a weapon or accessory. Then, press the Register Attached Items button, which will be shown on the weapon/accessory card while the item is highlighted. You can register Attached Items in The First Descendant by pressing the U key on the PC via keyboard, LT on Xbox, and L2 on PlayStation.

The items will now have a pink heart icon, indicating they've been tagged as Attached. Note that equipped items cannot be registered as such, so it's crucial to first unequip them, then assign them as Attached Items, and then re-equip them. To unregister, simply highlight the items again and press the same button used to register the Attached Items to "unfavorite" them.
Additionally, pressing the heart tab on the bottom of the Inventory screen under weapons or accessories will filter the inventory to only show the Attached Items registered. If you try to register all items as junk, you will also notice that the Attached Items in The First Descendant will be excluded. If you visit a vendor then you will notice that the Attached Items will not appear in the selling list.
With so many rare weapons to acquire, including powerful legendaries such as the Thunder Cage, you will want to make space for new loot as you progress through the narrative of The First Descendant. All in all, this is a great way to quickly sort through or sell items without much hassle.
The First Descendant is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
