Crude Oil Extractor in Palworld is one of the new structures that were introduced in the Sakurajima update. As the name suggests, it is a structure that is essentially an oil mill, and it extracts Crude Oil from the ground, which is required to craft Plasteel. Unlike other Palworld structures which could be built anywhere in your base, the Crude Oil Extractor can only be placed in specific locations, only if your base is built in a place that allows Crude Oil extraction.

In this article, we will explore everything that you need to know in order to build the Crude Oil Extractor in Palworld. We will discuss the suitable locations, the resources, and all other details surrounding this structure.

The Crude Oil Extractor in Palworld cannot be built in every base. The Sakurajima Island has special regions that support Crude Oil extraction, and you need to build a new base in one of these locations to be able to build this structure.

The Sakurajima Island has certain dark spots on the map, which is an indication of that area being suitable for Crude Oil extraction. You need to make a new base in one of these areas. However, you cannot build the Crude Oil Extractor anywhere within the base.

Within the confined dark-spot area, there will be one or two oil-botches on the ground. These are the locations on top of which you can build your Crude Oil Extractor in Palworld.

To build the Crude Oil Extractor in Palworld, you will need two primary resources in great quantities. These are:

  • Pal Metal Ingot x250
  • Circuit Board x50

Pal Metal Ingot requires four Ore and two Paldium Fragments and can be crafted after unlocking it at Technology Level 44. Circuit Board, on the other hand, requires four Pure Quartz and two Polymer and can be unlocked at Technology Level 35.

The Crude Oil Extractor needs electricity to function. As such, it will not function unless a proper electric source like the Power Generator or better has been built.
