How to change character appearance in Once Human

The character appearance menu in Once Human has a plethora of options and many are wondering if they can change it after creation. Thankfully, there is a way to change how a character looks. In fact, almost every choice made during creation can be altered later in the game. However, to do so, you must spend real currency for Once Human tokens.

As such, there is no way to alter a character's appearance for free or with in-game currency. Those who have made a mistake while creating a character and do not wish to spend real currency will have to make a new one.

Changing your Once Human character appearance

To change your character appearance, you'll first need to build a Floor Mirror. To do this, open the build menu with the 'B' key (on PC) while inside your territory. Navigate to the 'Furniture' menu, then to the 'Furnishing Items' sub-menu, where you will find the Floor Mirror. This item will cost 20 logs and 10 glass resources to create.

Once you've created your mirror, place it wherever you wish in your Once Human territory. Now, you'll need to open the Shop menu (Esc -> Shop Events -> Shop) and navigate to the 'Other' tab. Here, you will find the Chrysalis Token item, which costs 480 Crystgin. This is a premium-only currency, meaning there is no other way to obtain Chrysalis Tokens than with real-world money.

With the token in your inventory, head to your mirror and interact with it. The changes you make during this process will be applied to your character. It's important to note that this token can be used only one time, so ensure you've made the right changes before exiting the menu.

What you can't change

When using the Floor mirror and Chrysalis token to alter your Once Human character's appearance, you cannot change your character's gender using this method.

Thus, those who wish to change the character's gender in-game will have no option but to delete them entirely. That said, only time will tell if the developers make this possible.
