The Goo Gun in ARK Survival Ascended is one of the newest weapons introduced with the latest update of the Bob's Tall Tales DLC. This unique weapon can be used for both offensive and mobility purposes due to its Corrosive and Bouncy modes. Although it's too soon to judge how well it performs in PvP, it has the potential to be quite good.

To craft the Goo Gun in ARK Survival Ascended, you must have the Bob's Tall Tales DLC. Unlike other DLCs for the game, such as Aberration, The Center, and Scorched Earth, which are free add-ons, the Bob's Tall Tales DLC is only accessible by purchasing the expansion on your respective platform.

Once you have the DLC, you can unlock the Engram for the Goo Gun in ARK Survival Ascended after reaching Level 58 and craft it at a Fabricator.

The Goo Gun in ARK Survival Ascended features two distinct modes: Corrosive and Bounce. The former focuses on offensive capabilities, while the latter is ideal for mobility.

In Corrosive mode, you can charge up a large purple ball of goo and launch it at an enemy. The goo sticks to the target and explodes after a few seconds, dealing substantial damage and applying a Bleed Damage-over-Time effect. Alternatively, you can rapidly fire multiple goo balls for less impact damage but with higher bleed stacks.

On the other hand, Bounce mode lets you charge a yellow ball of goo that, upon exploding on any surface, propels you in the opposite direction. This allows you to shoot the goo at the ground to launch yourself into the air, giving you the ability to maneuver midair with well-timed shots. The freedom this mode offers can be skillfully used to outmaneuver and overpower enemies in PvP.

In addition to the various modes, the most unique aspect of the Goo Gun in ARK Survival Ascended is its unconventional reloading method. To reload, you must harvest carcasses by approaching dead enemies and pressing the left Ctrl key on your keyboard.
