Palworld features an efficient character customization system where you can change your appearance as you prefer. Although it's impossible to change the world's or your character's name after starting a new journey, you can still alter your character's look later on. However, you must reach a certain level and collect specific items to unlock the process.
This guide will highlight the key details of the process of customizing your Palworld character.

Unlock the Antique Dresser to customize your Palworld character
Although it was not initially available, the developers added the character customization feature to the game with the v0.2.0.6 update. This came in the form of a piece of furniture called the Antique Dresser, which allows you to change your look. However, you must reach level 22 in the Technology section to unlock the Antique Dresser. Afterward, utilize two Technology points to unlock its recipe from the Ancient Technology section.
Before starting the building process, make sure to collect the following ingredient materials for the Antique Dresser:
- Wood: 100
- Fiber: 20
- Stone: 30
- Ancient Civilization Parts: 5
Once you have these materials, open the build menu and select Antique Dresser from the Furniture tab. Then, place the structure anywhere on your base and start the building process. When the Antique Dresser is built, you can interact with it to edit your character's appearance.

It should be noted that your character will be defenseless during the customization process, as will be prompted by a warning message. Thus, make sure to initiate it in a safe area where no enemies are attacking you or the base.
There are five customization options available in the menu — Presets, Body, Face, Hair, and Voice. Subsequently, it's possible to change the gender, body type, and color presets of different features, as well as how you will sound during your journey through the game world.
