How to decrypt Encrypted Vaults in The First Descendant

Encrypted Vaults are in-game chests in The First Descendant. Although the spawn points of the vaults are random, they usually come up in a specific location on the map. Encrypted Vaults contain special treasures that were hidden away by the Magisters. To decrypt an Encrypted Vault, you will need a Precision Code Analyzer or Code Analyzer. This is a consumable that can be earned by completing missions.

Use the Analyzer on the Vault and complete the generic minigame to open it. Keep in mind that if you fail the minigame, the analyzer will be destroyed, and you must use a new one to open the same Vault.

The First Descendant is a looter shooter that combines many aspects of popular online games to offer something fresh in the genre. As suggested by the genre's name, there’s a lot of loot to be collected in the game. Players are rewarded for completing missions, defeating bosses, and finding Encrypted Vaults via Magister’s Hidden Assets quest. Completing this quest will help you level up your Mastery levels in The First Descendant.

The quest will make you go on a treasure hunt all around the map of The First Descendant. While the spawn points of the Encrypted Vaults aren’t the same in every game, they usually spawn in a 10-20-foot radius of the below-mentioned location. Once you have the Magister’s Hidden Assets quest active, try visiting this location to find the Vaults:

Go to the Sterile Land and fast-travel to the Classified area on the Northwestern corner. The vault spawns around the rooftop area where you find the resources box.

Once you find the first Encrypted Vault, others generally spawn around it. Look around to find the other two Vaults and decrypt them to get the loot and complete the Magister’s Hidden Assets quest in The First Descendant. Keep in mind that once you find a vault, you will have to pass a short mini-game.

But don’t worry, this mini-game is as simple as it can be. Once you start scanning the Encrypted Vaults, you will be taken to a new screen. Here, you can see a wheel with a red indicator. To solve the puzzle, simply click when the indicator is on the highlighted zone on the wheel.
