Dismantling gear in Dungeonborne is one of the crucial aspects of gameplay. The game revolves around loot, with weapons, gear, and other equipment significantly impacting your success in dungeon run. To craft proper gear in the game, you'll need to learn how to dismantle items effectively.
Usually, the gear you craft is more effective than the armor and weapons you loot from dungeons. Crafting better equipment requires materials that can be acquired by dismantling items on the lobby screen. Dismantling weapons and armor of different rarities yields different materials.
In this guide, we share all the necessary information you need to know about dismantling gear in Dungeonborne.
Guide for dismantling gear in Dungeonborne
To dismantle gear, click on the Heirloom tab in the top right corner. This will take you to your blacksmith, who is the primary source for both crafting and dismantling gear in Dungeonborne. The first menu that opens when you visit your blacksmith is the dismantle gear menu.

Click on the red hammer, and your cursor will turn into a hammer. Now, click on the gear you want to dismantle with the hammer cursor. Keep in mind that once selected, the gear will be dismantled permanently. It cannot be retrieved afterward, so only break gear that you can afford to lose forever.
The rarity of the item dismantled determines what type of material you will get:
- Rough White Iron - Common - Gray
- Ilmenite Ore - Uncommon - Green
- Refined Steel Ore - Magic - Blue
- Star Fragment - Epic - Purple
Dungeonborne is all about managing your resources. The loot you get from dungeons can be sold to merchants for instant gold or put on the auction menu for a chance of increased profit when sold but for a fee of 5000 gold. That's why every time you return from your raids, you must decide what to do with your loot.
