Salt is one of the most useful resources in Throne and Liberty. Having enough of it allows you to craft different cooking recipes that grant buffs to an individual or an entire party. Currently, approximately 20 different recipes require Salt, making it an important resource. However, getting your hands on only one copy can be quite bothersome, as the drop rate isn't favored towards the player.

There are a few methods to farming Salt, whether you're a beginner or mid-game veteran. The world of Throne and Liberty covers quite a large area, so there are always options and workarounds available.

To summarize, Salt can be farmed in the coastal regions of both Laslan and Stoneguard. These are Solisium's 'beginner' and 'advanced' locations, respectively. In this article, we list both regions for the two types of players, including the location and enemies they should be looking for.

Salt farming method in Throne and Liberty

1) Laslan

As a beginner in Throne and Liberty, getting Salt can be difficult, as they are "green" drops from wild monsters. However, the density of the required monsters is fairly high, with their respawn timer being low. This allows you to dedicate your time to farming for this resource in one location.

Start by teleporting on the Windhill Shores waypoint south of the Laslan region. This is the third waypoint you unlock during the introductory main mission in the game. Upon spawning, you can immediately start killing any sea creatures you see.

Try targeting the Chestacean, Large Stone Crab, Megalobster, and Hermit Lobster. Aside from Salt, you can get a small chunk of EXP from each kill, alongside 10 Coins.

2) Stoneguard

For more advanced players, the drop rate can be normalized slightly with high-level enemies. Start by spawning on the Daybreak Shores of Stoneguard region and then look for enemies, such as Iron Chestacean, Starlight Firefly, Hermit Crab, and Sea Crab, along the shoreline.

Since you are in a >level 30 region, the drop rate of Salt will feel significantly more than Windhill Shores of Laslan.

3) Amitoi Expedition

The third method of gathering Salt in Throne and Liberty includes the Amitoi Expedition. Teleport to your Amitoi House by interacting with the summoned pet on top of your skill bar, and then interact with the Expedition Desk inside your house.

Then, select the Windhill Shores location and then "Begin Expedition." You can also select the number of hours you want the Expedition to carry on. Increased Expedition time means increased rewards.

Note that Daybreak Shores do not drop any Salt from Expedition.
