Diablo 4’s recent expansion has given players a great new feature: the power to favorite towns. Instead of simply traveling back to the last-visited place, you can set up a specific town or waypoint to teleport to at all times. You can change this anytime you want as well. If you’re trying to farm specific things, grind particular dungeons, or even because you like the aesthetic of a specific location the most, you can change this easily.
Whether you want to easily claim your Tree of Whispers caches, or just really hate the grating music of Kyovashad, you have an easy, alternate solution at your fingertips. Just set a favorite town in Diablo 4! Here’s how to do that.
How to easily set a favorite town in Diablo 4
You can set a favorite town in Diablo 4 incredibly easily. All you have to do is open your map and select the waypoint of your choice. As long as you’ve been to that Waypoint and activated it, you will be able to set it as your new favorite. This includes all of the Nahantu Waypoints - provided of course you’ve got the expansion, and have been to the one you want to make a favorite.
Once you’ve pulled up the map, hover over the Waypoint of your choice and press RMB/Triangle/Y (PC, PS5, Xbox) respectively. This will automatically change your desired location. Now, anytime you press down on the D-Pad/T on your keyboard, you will teleport to that new place, no matter what.
Of course, directly traveling to other Waypoints on the map still works as well, but your default teleport location will be to the new area. You can change it anytime you want, as well. There’s no penalty and no cost.
This can make a number of activities much faster, such as PvP, farming a particular dungeon for exp, or even just returning to complete side quests faster. Whatever the reason, it’s worth knowing. You can always see your favorite town on the map—just look for the Waypoint with a banner on its location.
