The new update has brought in a fresh set of challenges for Pal Tamers including the Oil Rig Stronghold, also known as the Rayne Syndicate Oil Rig. It is one of the many challenges you can attempt in the new Sakurajima update. However, it is one of the toughest ones to complete as a solo player.

The Rayne Syndicate Oil Rig houses elaborate and hard-hitting defense mechanisms, which will shoot you down with laser beams if you are airborne. Avoiding these anti-air laser beams is possible, but you need to have impeccable timing to achieve this feat. Taking the aquatic route on a Pal like Surfent, Azurobe, or Jormuntide is the safer option.
How to prepare for the Oil Rig Stronghold in Palworld?
The Oil Rig Stronghold in Palworld has a swarm of the Rayne Syndicate cadets guarding the place. You should not take them lightly, because all of these soldiers are level 55, and they have access to elite Pals (also of level 55) and weapons.

To clear the Oil Rig Stronghold in Palworld, you need to defeat everyone and everything. Clear out every nook and cranny before claiming the main loot. However, this is easier said than done, and you need to be prepared for a tough fight against countless enemies of the highest possible level in Palworld.
As you make your way by clearing the tower, you will notice certain defense mechanisms that will constantly shoot at you. You need to prioritize disabling and destroying these defense mechanisms first before engaging with enemies. This will also allow you to use your Pals freely without having to worry about the laser beam.
You cannot shoot to destroy the defense mechanisms, unfortunately. You must get up close and interact with these devices to destroy them and secure your path. You will also find red barrels in every corner which can be shot at to deal a lot of damage to the enemies. Ultimately, you clear the base to claim the true reward cache.
There are high-tier chests scattered throughout the Stronghold Oil Rig in abundance, and you can loot them for a huge boost in money, items, and other drops. These chests all require keys, so it is advised you unlock the high-tier lockpicking skills before heading to this Oil Rig. Additionally, each enemy defeated also drops money, ammo, and Crude Oil.
Alternative method to clear the Oil Rig Stronghold in Palworld
This method is a speedy way to farm for huge amounts of Crude Oil in Palworld. You do not need to defeat everyone and destroy everything. All you need to do is locate the main supply crate, defeat as many Syndicate enemies as necessary to reach this room, and then leave the Oil Rig as soon as possible.
This method is a speedy way to farm for the reward only, and it does not let you enjoy the full extent of the challenge posed by the Rayne Syndicate Oil Rig.
