How to find Mushrooms in Once Human

Mushrooms in Once Human are a great source of food and energy. In this survival MMO, you need to manage resources like your base, thirst, and hunger while fighting giant eldritch horrors. Although there are good sources of meat, such as deer, finding edible greens can be challenging in the stardust-polluted world of Once Human.

However, even in this ravaged world, mushrooms have managed to survive. You can use these fungi in various recipes or eat them raw to maintain your hunger bar. In this article, we have shared some good locations where you can find mushrooms in Once Human to help you build up a stock.

How can you get Mushrooms in Once Human?

Mushrooms can be collected in two ways: gathering them from the wild or growing them in your base. If you explore the map of Once Human and keep an eye on the ground, you can find small patches of mushrooms scattered across the terrain. You can simply approach them and interact to collect them into your inventory.

When you collect mushrooms, there's a good chance you'll also get mushroom seeds. You can plant these seeds in your base to grow more mushrooms. If you have the Growshroom Deviant, the process becomes much easier. You can simply store seeds in the Deviant, and it will continuously plant and grow them in your base.

Best places to find Mushrooms in Once Human

There are many places where you can find mushrooms in Once Human. However, in my playthrough, the place where I found the most mushrooms is along the train tracks south of the High Banks teleporter. Not only does this area have an ample supply of mushrooms, but it's also very accessible thanks to the teleporter.

If you choose to collect mushrooms from here, fast-travel to the location and head south until you see the tracks. Follow the tracks and keep an eye on the bushes on the left-hand side. You will see small patches of red-capped mushrooms spread all across the area. Other than this location, you can also try the areas around Sunbury Middle School or Meyer's Market to find mushrooms in Once Human.
