The ARK Survival Ascended Aberration map has a few ways players can farm Blue Gems. Some of these are a bit safer than others, though. There is a handy monster that digs these up as it goes around, but picking through its leftovers can make it aggro. Instead, you may want to simply hunt down places you can safely, and easily mine the mineral. There’s no wrong way to do it—it's simply a matter of preference.

Now that the Aberration map has come to ARK Survival Ascended, players can explore a vast underground map with plenty to do, including farm Blue Gems. If you’re looking for this useful material, here’s where you can find it.

Where to get Blue Gems in ARK Survival Ascended Aberration

One way you can farm Blue Gems in ARK Survival Ascended Aberration is to hunt down Roll Rats. They’re incredibly common on this map, and as they go burrowing, they can dig up gems—including Blue Gems. However, if you go digging through the items that they find, these creatures turn aggressive.

The solution is to either find a way to de-aggro them. You can do this by getting them stuck on terrain, or simply running away until they relax and resume their digging. Alternatively, you can kill them, and hunt down a different Roll Rat.

The other way is to locate the clusters of Blue Gems scattered across the map. You can carve them out of the ground with a pickaxe. These are found both on the ground in clumps, or in the form of aquamarine pillar crystals.

If you choose the latter option, you should be able to find crystals scattered throughout the area around (LAT:54.4 LON:32.4). They’re all over the place, and you should be able to find them with very little difficulty.

While there are other places you can find Blue Gems, this was the most reliable place for us to find them on the map. If you’re trying to make the Glider Suit Skin, Hazard Boots, or Hazard Suit Gloves, you’re going to need this resource.
