How to take over the Burning Blade in Sea of Thieves?
In theory, taking over the Burning Blade is quite simple. Players must shoot and sink the ship to a 'Defeated' state to board it, and further take control of it. However, the tricky part is bringing it to that state.
Here's how you can defeat the Burning Blade in combat:
- Take position and hammer it down with your cannon shots.
- While evading all shots might not be possible, evading the flame-engulfed shots will keep you alive for a longer duration.
- The ship has a large crew of Obsidian Skeletons who repair it fairly quickly. Ensure that you continuously thrash the ship to prevent it from getting fully repaired.
When you deal enough damage, you will receive a notification that says 'Burning Blade Defeated'. To take control of the ship, follow these steps below:
- Board the Burning Blade.
- Head into the Captain's Cabin.
- Interact with the Quest Table.
Upon following these steps, you will have successfully pledged yourself to Captain Flameheart and secured control over the Burning Blade in Sea of Thieves.
What happens when you get the Burning Blade in Sea of Thieves?
After successfully taking control of Captain Flameheart's flagship, your previous ship will scuttle, and you will be provided absolute control of the Burning Blade. Furthermore, you will now be aided by your very own Obsidian Skeleton crew, who will help you manage your affairs on the ship.
Last but not least, all the damage that you dealt to the Flagship will automatically get repaired, preparing you for your voyages ahead.
