Festering Gel is one of the early Deviants available in Once Human. While most Deviants are bloodthirsty mutants, Festering Gel, like its fellow Chefausurus Rex, is a friendly Deviant that not only gets along with humans but can also help them fight other Deviants and make the Stardust-polluted world a better place.
Festering Gel is a combat Deviant, but it doesn't deal damage. Instead, it helps you and your allies survive tricky situations and provides defense. In this guide, we have shared all the information you need to know about obtaining the Festering Gel Deviant in Once Human.
Where to Find the Festering Gel Deviant in Once Human
The Festering Gel can be obtained by killing the first Void entity of the game, The Ravenous Hunter. Although it's the first proper boss you'll meet in the game, you shouldn't underestimate it. To face this entity, you first have to activate the Monolith of Greed, which requires completing several errands.

The quest for the Monolith of Greed starts the moment you step into the game. Follow the missions one after another, and you'll eventually meet various NPCs who will guide you toward certain tasks and locations that will help you activate the Monolith. One of the main tasks is activating the Rift Anchors in the surrounding area.
At this point, you'll be given your motorcycle, and if you're following the tasks, you should have your early guns and a decent amount of ammo with you. If you need anything else, go to your camp and craft them. Then, visit the Rift Anchor locations one by one with your motorcycle and activate them. You'll find an elite enemy at one of these locations.

Once the anchors are activated, go to the Monolith of Greed for the Void entity battle. Here, you'll be given the option of either teaming up or going solo in this battle. After you successfully kill the Ravenous Hunter, the rewards will start spawning. Look around, and you'll see the Festering Gel. Put your cursor on it to capture it.
