Pax Dei’s early game is filled with using food to heal, but you also have access to Healing Magic. However, if you want access to efficient healing, you’ll need to do some prep work first; in this case, it’s Tailoring. Through this skill, you'll get access to a pair of incredibly useful healing spells: Radiant Mend, and Divine Remedy. One of the biggest complaints about the game is how much downtime there is between fights.
This is because most players only have access to food or potions, especially in the early game, so healing takes much longer than preferable. These spells cost Stamina, so consuming foods that increase this aspect will be important, so you can cast more often.
But if you want early Healing Magic in Pax Dei, here’s what you need to know, now that the game is in Early Access.
Pax Dei Healing Magic speedrun: How to get it early
To craft both of these items to receive early-game Healing Magic in Pax Dei, you need access to Tailoring Level 12, a Tailoring Table, or a Simple Tailoring Table. You also need a pair of particular pendants, each which unlocks the spell you’re after: To Eradicate, Abstract I (Radiant Mend), and To Eradicate, Law 1.vi (Divine Remedy). These items are found on named mobs within the Ghost Forest, and the surrounding Fortresses.
You’ll also need 10 Worn Out Lockets per recipe, which can also be found in this general area. It will be ideal to farm these up at the same time, so you have all you need at one time. To craft both patterns, you’ll need all of the following items:
Canon’s Gambeson (Radiant Mend I spell)
- To Eradicate, Abstract i x1
- Worn Out Locket x10
- Cloth Pins x4
- Sewing Needles x2
- Coarse Linen String x5
- Coarse Linen Cloth x5
Cap of Reassurance (Divine Remedy)
- To Eradicate, Law 1.vi x1
- Worn Out locket x10
- Cloth Pins x4
- Sewing Needles x2
- Rough Linen String x4
- Rough Linen Cloth x4
Divine Remedy is a powerful support spell that heals you and up to one chosen ally. It has an eight-second-long cooldown, a range of 20m, and costs 12 Stamina. Radiant Mend heals all allies within range (6m), costs 16 Stamina, and is a Heal over time. Both of these are incredibly useful for all players.
While it isn't known at this time exactly which named mobs drop the Healing Magic recipes in Pax Dei, it’s recommended to clear the Ghost Forest, its nearby Fortresses, and any of the Fortresses you come across.
Named enemies appear to be the enemies that drop these important lockets/recipes. We’ll update this as more information becomes available. It’s important to note that this game is in Early Access, and this information could change later.
Pax Dei recently launched into Early Access, exclusively on PC. Having access to healing magic will make exploring much easier, whether you’re fighting enemies, or just looking for more Flint for your arrowheads.
