There are various ways you can obtain the Jade Warframe, including its own 'pity system' if you get unlucky with the RNG. Since Jade is the titular Warframe of the Jade Shadows update, it makes sense that getting her parts is tied to Ascension, the new game mode.
Jade can be purchased from the Market for Platinum, the premium currency - but there is no need to use up your resources for this. In this guide, we will go over all the normal ways you can get Jade, the new Warframe.
All the ways to to farm Jade in Warframe
To get Jade in Warframe, you have to farm Brutus in Uranus, the new Ascension game mode node.
To get the main blueprint for this frame, you must complete the Jade Shadows quest first. However, you cannot get additional copies of Jade Blueprint by repeating the quest. As for Jade's Warframe component blueprints, you have two ways to get them:
- Jade's component blueprints have a 5% chance each to drop at the end of Ascension mission on Brutus, Uranus.
- You can purchase the component blueprints from Ordis in Drifter's Camp. These cost 150 Vestigial Motes each, while the main Jade blueprints costs 450.
Farming the Ascension Game mode in Warframe
Each of Jade's Warframe parts have a 5% chance to drop as the completion reward for an Ascension mission, the Brutus node on Uranus.
These are all the components that you need to craft Jade:
- Jade Systems Blueprint
- Jade Chassis Blueprint
- Jade Neuroptics Blueprint
As with all Warframes, the component blueprints must be crafted first, which will then let you craft Jade from the main blueprint. The following table shows which resources are required to craft each component:
The mission itself has some unique mechanics, but it is easy to clear within a few minutes if you bring a Wukong or a Titania. To learn about this mission in further detail, check out our guide on Warframe's Ascension game mode.
Note that the Ascension mission is gated behind a few prerequisites - including the Jade Shadows quest itself, as well as The New War. Given how versatile and useful Jade's toolkit is for the end-game, her being inaccessible to newer players seems fair.
Jade pity system: What are Vestigial Motes in Warframe?
Unlucky Tenno who keep getting the same Jade component drops over and over again can always complete the full set with help from Ordis in Larunda Relay, Mercury.
A unique resource called Vestigial Motes drops at the end of each Ascension run (7-12 per run). By selecting the 'Release Vestigial Motes' option with Ordis, you can use this resource to buy any Jade component:
- Jade Blueprint can be acquired for 450 Vestigial Motes.
- Jade Chassis Blueprint can be acquired for 150 Vestigial Motes.
- Jade Neuroptics Blueprint can be acquired for 150 Vestigial Motes.
- Jade Systems Blueprint can be acquired for 150 Vestigial Motes.
