Developed by Bungie in 2017, Destiny 2 is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game set in the loot-and-shoot genre. To progress in the game, players have to face several obstacles, some of which are in the form of enemies who can be destroyed only after possessing certain weapons. You can use weapons like bows, guns, rifles, and cannons to shoot at enemies. Although guns and cannons sound like a better option, bows, when used in the correct combination and method, are capable of causing fatal damage.
In Destiny 2, players will come across different types of bows they can collect during gameplay. One such lethal Bow is the Le Monarque. It's an Exotic Combat Bow with its own set of Exotic Perks. Here’s how you can acquire this weapon.
How to acquire Le Monarque in Destiny 2?
The Le Monarque was an Exotic introduced during the Forsaken expansion in Destiny 2. It was a Black Armory weapon, and you had to complete Forge runs to acquire it. The activity, however, has been vaulted, and the only way to acquire this weapon is by purchasing it from The Monument to Lost Lights archive at the Tower.
To purchase this weapon, you must spend 125000 Glimmer, one Ascendant Shard, 200 Legendary Shards, and one Exotic Cipher. While various methods exist to acquire the Ascendant Shards, Legendary Shards, and Glimmer, the only way to secure an Exotic Cipher is by purchasing it from Xur.
After you’ve purchased the Exotic Cipher, you will have to complete 21 different playlist activities to unlock it. From thereon, you’ll come to possess this cipher. At any given point, you can hold only one Exotic Cipher in Destiny 2.
Being an Exotic bow, the Le Monarque comes with an Exotic perk known as Poison Arrows. When fully drawn, the perk activates, and any enemy that’s struck its arrows takes poison damage for a short period of time. The weapon sits in your Energy slot and deals Void damage, making it a good choice against Void shields, especially in end-game activities like Grandmaster Nightfalls.
Furthermore, this weapon's intrinsic properties allow its arrows to disrupt Overload Champions in Destiny 2. With a fully master-worked catalyst, whenever you defeat enemies with this weapon, you regain a certain portion of your health, making it a wonderful choice for PvE activities. However, if this bow isn't to your liking, here are some other Exotic weapons that work exceptionally well in PvE activities.
