How to get Luna's Noise Surge Module in The First Descendant

The Luna-exclusive Noise Surge might be one of The First Descendant's most playstyle-changing skill mods. Skill mods of 'red' rarity generally change up a Descendant ability or two, but Noise Surge turns Luna into a solo DPS expert rather than the party-based buff/utility class she would otherwise be.

In this guide, we will explain what exactly Luna's Noise Surge module does, and how to get it in The First Descendant.

How to farm Luna-exclusive Noise Surge Module in The First Descendant

To get the Noise Surge Module in The First Descendant, you must farm the Executioner Void Intercept Boss in Hard Mode. While it was originally a drop from the newest Gluttony boss, the drop source has been moved to Hard Executioner since patch 1.0.7.

Defeating the Executioner is easier than Gluttony, but you should still aim for at least 400k+ DPS on your main weapon. Noise Surge is not a guaranteed drop, so you might have to farm the boss quite a few times. A bossing expert character is recommended; here's a Gley build guide meant just for that.

An alternate method to get Noise Surge is combining four Transcendental Modules. However, the resource cost for this method is too high, as the odds of getting the desired mod are not up to par.

What does Luna's Noise Surge Module do?

Instead of altering one ability, Luna's Noise Surge Module changes three abilities: Exciting Act (C), Relaxing Act (V), and Cheerful Act (Z). None of these abilities will grant squad-wide buffs anymore but will focus solely on Luna. In addition, each ability will now directly damage enemies in an AoE when cast, and give Luna a stacking Skill Power buff. You can read more about what Luna's abilities do here.

In effect, this turns Luna into more of a lone wolf, granting better solo mobbing while taking away the overall effective squad DPS boost (depending on party comp). Hence, this skill mod might be worth investing in if you don't play in an organized squad and main Luna.
