Plasteel in Palworld is a brand-new addition to the wide array of crafting materials found in the game. The Sakurajima update has added a truckload of new content for players to sink their teeth into. Out of which a lot of new gears require Plasteel as a crafting ingredient. In this article, we will walk you through everything you need to know to get Plasteel in Palworld, including a list of the items that need this new crafting material in the Sakurajiuma update.
How to unlock Plasteel in Palworld?
To unlock this new crafting material in the game, you must reach level 50. If you have been playing the game since its launch, you have probably reached level 50 by now. You can then unlock Plasteel by spending 2 Technology Points in the Technology tab.
However, if you are new to the game, you will have to grind a lot for the experience points needed to reach level 50. The best way to farm experience points is by catching Pals.
How to make Plasteel in Palworld?
Once you reach level 50 and unlock this crafting material from the Technology tab, you will need the following items to craft it:
- 5 Crude Oil
- 5 Paldium Fragments
- 20 Ore
Just like Plasteel, Crude Oil is another necessary crafting material added to the game in the Sakurajima update. Getting this item can be tough if you are new to the game. You can get it from Supply Drops which can be found on the new Sakurajima Island. Conversely, you can build a Crude Oil Extractor and have an endless supply of this resource in Palworld.
Ore is very easy to obtain. You can find mounds of Ore spread throughout the vast expanses of Palpagos Island. Also, you can build Ore Mining Sites at your Palworld base and assign Pals with Mining Work Suitability to extract Ore for you.
Paldium Fragments can be obtained from small blue rocks. You can also find them as random loot on the ground as you explore. It can be obtained by breaking regular mounds of rocks too.

How to use Plasteel in Palworld?
As mentioned earlier, most of the new items added to the game in the Sakurajima update require Plasteel as a crafting material. For instance, Plasteel Armor, Plasteel Helmet, Ultimate Sphere, Guided Missile Launchers, and many more end-game gears and weapons require Plasteel.
Once you have a decent stock of Plasteel in your inventory, you can start using it to craft various items, like Plasteel armor to give your character better protection. This can be done on a high-quality Workbench. You can also use Plasteel to craft UItimate Spheres on a Sphere Assembly Line.
