How to get Pup Buddy Deviant in Once Human

Pup Buddy is an interesting Deviant in Once Human. Once a PVP server exclusive, PVE server players have now been reporting that it’s showing up for them as well. This spells good for players because the Pup Buddy is one of the most useful deviants to have in your collection when it comes to exploring and gathering materials. However, unlocking the Deviant can be a difficult task.

Once you get one and keep it happy, Pup Buddy will help you craft an incredibly useful potion. If you want to know where to find the Gadget Deviant, and what to do with it once you have it, then look no further.

You can find Pup Buddy in the Blackfell Fallen Zone, around the coordinates (4307, -1323), and the Blackfell Oil Fields (5586, -1269) of the Red Sands region. Either zone works, it just depends on your preference. That being said, we see more players finding it near the Oil Fields, compared to the Blackfell Fallen Zone.

You’re looking for a corpse that’s being held in the air by a balloon animal - a Pup Buddy, to be exact. Shoot the body and it will drop to the ground. All you have to do at this point is loot the corpse and hope that it drops what you need. You should be careful around the polluted zones in this area, but you can also farm Barreled Crude Oil here, so coming all this way is worth it.

Pup Buddy is not a guaranteed drop, so you may have to do this a few times to acquire yours. To get the most out of the Deviant once you have it, take it back and put it in a Securement Unit,

If you have a Pup Buddy locked up in one of your securement units, you can use it to help you craft an incredibly useful Whim Potion: Featherweight. But first, bathe it in Green Light, place Toys near it, and place a Radio to play music for it. This will maximize the Deviant's output.

Just wait for this Deviant to crank out Small Balloons for you, and then you can start making Featherweight potions - after you have the other materials:

• Small Balloon x8
• Acid x4
• Glass x3

This potion decreases the weight of all items in your inventory, allowing you to grind longer and pick up more items before having to go back to your base to sort things out. It’s a very useful potion to have in your collection.
