Supply Drops are a new feature in Palworld’s Sakurajima update, but they work differently from those in Call of Duty. You can’t summon these drops, but you can locate them randomly on certain maps. They are challenging to claim as well, due to how well they’re defended by Syndicate guards, but they’re worth going after. You can pick up a nice assortment of rare, useful items by opening the Supply Drop.
Sakurajima is the latest massive update to Pocketpair’s hit MMO, bringing a new island to the game, along with plenty of other content. Whether you’re trying to make Ultimate Spheres or make new friends, it’s going to be worth it to hunt down Supply Drops in Palworld. Here’s what you need to know about them.
How to locate Supply Drops in Palworld?
Like in Call of Duty, Supply Drops in Palworld come plummeting out of the sky. They tend to drop primarily in late-game areas: The new Sakurajima, Astral Mountain, and Mount Obsidian. You can tell easily if one’s about to spawn on a map that you’re on because you’ll get a red warning overlay that pops up on your screen. That makes it remarkably easy to figure out when a drop is coming nearby.
If you aren’t on the map where one spawns, you can check late-game maps for the icon of a Meteorite Event. These events don’t pop up simultaneously, so you can head to wherever the icon is, and see which you get: A meteorite event or a Supply Drop. They’re easy to spot, though.
You’ll see a swarm of Syndicate troops surrounding it, and they’re very aggressive. It can be frustrating to try and loot these, and they won’t hesitate to take out even your highest-level Pals.
If you aren’t strong enough to fight them, you can fly in, dart out, and lead them away from the chest. Then, come back around and loot the Supply Drop before the Syndicate guards can come back and stop you. These chests always contain five items, though their contents will be random.
Item types that can drop in Palworld’s Supply Drops
One of the great things about Supply Drops in Palworld is that you always know what type of items you will receive. You will always receive a Schematic, a Pendant, Pal Spheres, Oil, and Elixirs. However, the actual items themselves will be random. Could you get one of the new Ultimate Spheres? It’s possible.
It’s worth mentioning that there’s a chance that players can reroll these Supply Drops by reloading their save. While we have not confirmed this at this time, it will also likely be patched out by Pocketpair in the future.
