Choir of One has been one of the main highlights of Destiny 2 Echoes Act 3. The special ammo Auto Rifle is the first of its kind in the game in seven years and has already been scheduled for a balance change in the next episode. While obtaining the weapon takes a few steps in the Encore mission, the associated Catalysts take a bit more effort.
Choir of One has three Catalysts in total, each granting separate perks to the weapon. These include Subsistence, Destabilizing Rounds, and Onslaught. Readers will find additional details on all three Catalysts regarding the Destiny 2 Choir of One Exotic below.
How to get all three Catalysts in Destiny 2
To get all three Catalysts, you must complete all the steps of the Destiny 2 "A Rising Chorus Act 3" quest, and have the three versions of Encore missions unlocked. The order, in this case, is Overture>Concerto>Coda. Like many Exotic Catalysts, getting the weapon first is mandatory. Completing the first Encore mission, Overture, is enough to get the weapon.
Once the weapon is acquired from the first Encore version, you will require only the Catalysts from the separate versions of Encore. However, these Catalysts are tied to special quests from Banshee. There are three quests from Banshee, for three Catalysts.
One important to note here is that the first quest unlocks after acquiring the weapon for the first time. However, before picking up the second quest from Banshee, make sure to complete the first quest and acquire the Subsistence Catalyst. Then, progress the "A Rising Chorus Act 3" steps until all three versions of Encore are unlocked.
This is necessary since the second Banshee quest cannot be done inside the first Encore mission.
Once an Encore mission has been completed in Expert for the first time, the next quests will have this step auto-completed.
The Banshee quests must be completed in the following order:
- //Choir: Eternal for Subsistence Catalyst: Open the first secret chest and complete Encore in Expert difficulty. Must be done inside Overture.
- //Choir: Upheavel for Destabilizing Rounds Catalyst: Open the second secret chest and complete Encore in Expert difficulty. The Expert step will remain auto-completed if players have done it in the "//Choir: Eternal" quest. Must be done inside Concerto.
- //Choir: Escalate for Onslaught Catalyst: Open the third secret chest and complete Encore in Expert difficulty. The Expert step will remain auto-completed if players have done it in the "//Choir: Eternal" quest. Must be done inside Coda.
Here is a list of the secret chests required for the Catalysts:
- Subsistence: Located in the purple room after the first drop from the jumping puzzle. Follow the glow under the Vex Cubes, and shoot the Cubes that only glow.
- Destabilizing Rounds: Go through the portal after the second Partition terminal, and then through the portal straight ahead. You will come across a room with a Minotaur boss and multiple portals. For the mechanics, you can refer to our Week 2 Encore secret chest puzzle guide, and follow the secret chest #1.
- Onslaught: Go through the same portal after the second Partition terminal, and this time, pass through the portal on your left. You will come across a garden area that is the spawning point in the mission. For the mechanics, you can refer to our Week 3 Encore secret chest puzzle guide, and follow the secret chest #1.
Turn in the mission on Banshee, and he will drop the Catalyst tied to respective quests. You are now free to use any one of the three Catalysts on Choir of One.
