Code Analyzers are an important facet of The First Descendant, even if you don’t know it yet. The world this MMO offers is huge, and you may have already stumbled upon locations to use them since their spawn points are random. Anytime you come to an Encrypted Vault in the world, you can use this important resource there.

If you plan on diving into Encrypted Vaults in The First Descendant, you’re going to need Code Analyzers. They act as keys that crack these puzzles and allow you to gather the rewards hidden inside. If you want to know where to get them, and how to use them, look no further.

How to farm Code Analyzers in The First Descendant

There are two types of Code Analyzers in The First Descendant - Precision, and Ultra-Precision. Thankfully, it’s not too difficult to farm this key item. The great thing about Code Analyzers is that you can get them as a reward for completing nearly every mission in the game. However, there appears to be one mission that is just a little bit better than the rest.

In the Sterile Land, look for the mission Anticipated Ambush Point - it’s an Extermination Mission, and shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete. There’s even a fast travel point right near it, making it incredibly simple to get to. It’s recommended to use a powerful DPS character like Bunny, just to make it faster, but that’s not required.

Just run through the waves of enemies, defeat the boss, and claim your rewards - it’s really that simple. You aren’t guaranteed to Code Analyzers here as rewards, but what makes it the best mission is how quick it is. Since they aren’t guaranteed, it’s recommended to do the shortest missions possible.

When you’ve stumbled upon an Encrypted Vault and have a Code Analyzer in The First Descendant, you can begin cracking the code. The mini-game itself is pretty simple and forgiving. When you’re in front of the Encrypted Vault, interact with it, and you’ll see a mini-game pop-up.

You need to align the red line with the light blue highlighted section of the puzzle. Just wait until the red line is inside that highlighted section and press the right buttons to wrap the puzzle up. It’s important not to leave the puzzle until it’s complete, otherwise, you’ve wasted the Code Analyzer. The Red Bar on the bottom of the screen is your timer, so keep that in mind.
