Once at Level 40, you can assign module socket types by following these steps:

  • Open your Inventory and select either the Descendant Module or the module menu of a specific equipped weapon.
  • Select "Module Additional Settings" above "Equip Recommended Module" on the top right.
  • Here, you can assign one of the five socket types (Cerulean, Rutile, Malachite, Xantic, and Almandine), each denoted by a different symbol, to one of the available slots.

Each module has a specific socket type. When you match a module to a slot with the same socket type, its Capacity Cost is reduced by half. On the other hand, assigning a module to a slot with a different socket type increases its Capacity Cost by 50 percent. Therefore, it's crucial to use a Crystallization Catalyst to assign a module socket type when optimizing your build to avoid mismatches.
