Glow Pets in ARK Survival Ascended Aberration is a new set of creatures that can emit bioluminescent light to dispel the darkness. Even though the UE5 Aberration map is much brighter overall than the legacy Ark Survivla Evolved original, it is filled with horrors like the Reapers and Nameless that only come out in the dark. This is where Glow Pets come in clutch as they can keep these monsters at bay.
There are currently four new Glow Pets in ARK Survival Ascended Aberration: Bulbdog, Featherlight, Glowtail, and Shinehorn. Also known as Charge Pets, these critters have to be tamed to be used as a light source. They also gradually lose their charge when used.
In this article, we have shared how you can recharge your Glow Pets in ARK Survival Ascended Aberration.
How to Recharge Glow Pets in ARK Survival Ascended Aberration
To recharge your glow pets in ARK Survival Ascended manually, you can interact with a Glow Bug when you have the glow pet in question mounted to you shoulder. This will transfer some charge from the bug to your assigned pet. Other than this, all creatures also recharge themselves at a pace determined by their stats.

After taming one, you will notice that it has three main stats, namely Charge Capacity, Charge Regen, and Charge Range.
Out of these, Charge Capacity determines the amount of Charge a pet can hold, while Charge Regen decides how long it takes for it to recharge their light. The higher the Charge Regen stat, the faster the pet will regain its light.
Don't ignore third stat, Charge Range, because it determines how much of an area a pet can illuminate. The higher this stat, the more space the pet can illuminate.

When you are up against Nameless and Reapers, your glow pet determines your survival. The light not only interrupts the spawn of such threats but can also remove their natural armor. However, keep in mind that the glow pet's light can also attract Seekers. Keep your glow pets safe, as they are some of the only sources of light in the dark world of ARK Aberration Ascended.
Can consumable items charge glow pets?
No, they surprisingly cannot. Plant Species Z seeds are used to tame glow pets, but these have no use if you want to fasten their charging. Glow pets also cannot be connected to the many Charge Nodes you'll find in Aberration, nor can they extract charge out of batteries.
