Throne and Liberty has a creature known as the Gigantrite, and if you've been playing the game, you've probably seen this flying whale and wondered how to ride it. Thankfully, it is possible to ride on the back of this massive beast, offering what is possibly the best view in the game, too.
Throne and Liberty is a new, free-to-play open-world PvPvE MMO developed by NCSoft. One of the game's key features is its massive explorable world and the ability to complete codex entries by discovering new areas. You can also use the unique Morphs system to traverse this world by air, land, or sea.
Getting onto the Gigantrite can be a bit tricky, and it's important to note that this is needed to complete the "Little Friend in the Sky" entry in the codex. As long as you have your Throne and Liberty flying Morph unlocked as well as access to the Starlight Observatory Ruins, you have everything you need.
In this guide, we explain where the Gigantrite spawns, what path it takes, and how to get on top of it.
Where to find and how to ride the Gigantrite
In Throne and Liberty, the flying whale, known as the Gigantrite, is believed to spawn once every three hours (this is not officially confirmed). When this creature spawns, you will notice a server-wide message sent out in your chat as well as a mana regeneration buff appearing.

If you suspect that the flying whale may be spawning soon, or you intend to camp out and wait for it, head to the Starlight Observatory Ruins. If you're having trouble finding it, head directly East from Kastleton or Northwest from Vienta Village. Once you've arrived, climb the tallest tower in the Ruins and find a spot at the top with a good vantage point.
Once Gigantrite spawns, you'll have to wait for it to reach the area you're in. When it does, jump and glide off of the tower until you reach it. Then try to make it onto its back. Be careful of your line of sight while gliding though, as during peak times, your screen may be filled with other players doing the same. If you accidentally miss your timing or aim, you'll have to wait another three hours until it respawns.

If all of this is done properly, you should have completed the related exploration codex entry. Now you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful view of Solisium from the flying whale's back.
