Caravan in Fallout 76 is the newest in-game addition, where you can have your very own Brahmin-pulled, goods-transporting Caravan business. This new feature was supposed to come with the Milepost Zero update for Fallout 76; however, it was delayed due to some reported bugs during the testing phase.

Caravans are escort missions where you must guard the Brahmin pulling your goods until they reach the drop location. The roads will be filled with all kinds of enemies, but you don't need to worry too much about the dangers because other players can also join you as you transport your Caravan in Fallout 76.

This article details everything you need to know about starting and managing your very own Caravan in Fallout 76.

In order to get your very own Caravan in Fallout 76, you first need to complete the Bump in the Road mission. Once this is completed, you can start taking Caravan orders by talking to the NPC named Marley in the Outpost. She will offer three types of Caravan deliveries, which are:

  • Small delivery - Cost: 100 bottle caps. Upon successful completion: 10 supplies. Participants get: 1 supply.
  • Medium delivery - Cost: 400 bottle caps. Upon successful completion: 25 supplies. Participants get: 3 supplies.
  • Large delivery - Cost: 1200 bottle caps. Upon successful completion: 50 supplies. Participants get: 5 supplies.

As you can see in the list above, when you complete a delivery, you get Supplies based on the size of the delivery. However, you get significantly more supplies than the players who join/participate in your trip and help you complete the delivery. This massive difference between the initiator's and participant's earnings may discourage players from helping Caravans in the future.

You also get discounts on Caravan delivery costs if you accept multiple orders in a short time.

The discounts are the following:

  • Small delivery - 100 caps after 1 hour
  • Medium delivery - 400 caps after 4 hours
  • Large delivery - 1000 caps after 10 hours

The timer calculator starts from the first delivery order taken each day.

Once you start earning supplies, your first commitment should be using them to hire new employees. The first NPC that you should hire is Josie the Brahmin Tamer. She can upgrade your Brahmins, making them run faster and helping complete your deliveries much more efficiently with your Caravan in Fallout 76.

Other NPCs that you can hire are:

  • Axel the Decorator
  • Ineke the imported goods vendor
  • Theodore the ammo trader

From each of these NPCs, you can buy various unique wares that are rare or not available at any other vendor in the game. However, these vendors only trade using supplies; no other currency will be useful, so get ready to run multiple Caravans and stock up on supplies in Fallout 76 Milepost Zero.
