How to switch weapons in Throne and Liberty

Throne and Liberty allows players to switch their weapons at will, in and out of combat. In the title, players can set up multiple loadouts. So, you can have a different pair of weapons for PVP combat, healing, tanking, or whatever else you wish to do while you’re playing Amazon Games’ latest free-to-play MMO. However, this may not be immediately obvious to players, but it’s right there in the UI.

It doesn’t matter if you’re playing one of the most overpowered combos, or the default weapon loadout, if you want to switch weapons on the fly in Throne and Liberty, there’s a simple way to do just that. Let’s dive into that topic.

How to switch weapons in and out of battle in Throne and Liberty

You can switch weapons in Throne and Liberty by pressing “Y” on your keyboard. While that is the default key, you can change it by going into your Settings (F11, Settings), selecting “Shortcuts”, and finding “Swap Weapon” under the character tab.

While in combat, there’s no timer or cooldown on switching weapons in the title. Provided it’s one of the two weapons you’re currently equipped with, there’s no downside. To make things a bit easier, you can use any of your skills, regardless of what weapon you’re currently wielding.

If you’re a Longbow/Staff user, you can use your heal even if you’re equipped with the Staff. That’s one of the things that makes this system great. Even if you switch weapons, you have access to all of your equipped weapon skills for both weapons.

If you want, you can also set up different weapon sets in your inventory. Just press “P” to pull up your equipment screen. In the bottom center, you’ll see a pair of arrows. Press one of the arrows to cycle through the potential sets.

Pick one set, equip the gear and weapons you want, and the specific stats you want to allocate and you’re good to go. Just swap between these here, and go back to combat in the real world. Once you’ve equipped this set, you can switch weapons in the exact same manner you would any other set while playing Throne and Liberty.

However, you cannot change equipment sets mid-battle. If you get confused, you can also name the sets by clicking on the pencil icon. If you need separate skill sets, just go to the Skills Menu (“K” on the keyboard), swap sets, and drag the proper skills to the bottom of the screen.
