One of the many creatures available in the new ARK Survival Ascended expansion is Featherlight, a majestic bird found in the Aberration map. Although the animal is mostly docile and passive, taming one requires skill and patience to succeed. Don't be fooled by its unresisting behavior, as it will quickly fly away if you are not focused.

Guide to taming Featherlight in ARK Survival Ascended

Since the Featherlight in ARK Survival Ascended is a docile creature, the standard tranquilize-and-feed taming method will not work for this majestic bird. Instead, the easiest way to tame it is to bring a wooden cage and food. Since it flies away when attacked, caging the bird is a great method to solve this problem.

To do so, simply place the food on the ground and wait for a Featherlight to land. When the bird is about 10 meters away, place the wooden cage over the food and close it once the Featherlight steps inside. Continue feeding the bird through the bars.

Another effective method is putting a wooden cage on top of the Featherlight after it lands. Here are the amounts of feed you may need throughout the process:

Level 1: 1x Plant Species Z Seed, 5x Auric Mushroom, 344x Amarberry Seed, 429x Citronal Seed
Level 30: 2x Plant Species Z Seed, 9x Auric Mushroom, 629x Amarberry Seed, 786x Citronal Seed

Level 90: 4x Plant Species Z Seed, 17x Auric Mushroom, 1220x Amarberry Seed, 1525x Citronal Seed
