Servers are a very essential part of Throne and Liberty. Whether you're joining friends in PvP battles or teaming up for guild activities, being on the same server is essential. Transferring servers can help players avoid high server populations or long queues, especially if their current server is overcrowded or experiencing lag. Early access players, for example, might want to switch to servers with newer players for a more balanced competition.
In this article, we will go through everything you need to know about servers and how to switch them in Throne and Liberty.
Everything you need to know about servers in Throne and Liberty
Transferring between servers in Throne and Liberty allows players to join friends or find a more suitable environment. While the process is simple, it comes with certain limitations. Players must be mindful of server restrictions, such as platform limitations like early access and launch servers.
Early access servers are the servers that were open to players who bought early access and joined the game before the official release. Any character can transfer to these servers, regardless of when they were created. However, new players may find themselves at a disadvantage, as others may already have several days of progress.
Launch Servers are reserved for characters created after the official launch. Those made during early access cannot transfer to launch servers, ensuring new players have an even playing field in PvP and other competitive aspects of the game.
To switch servers, you must purchase a Server Transfer Ticket. This can be done via the shop in the main menu, which is located in the top right corner of your screen. The ticket costs 750 Lucent. Its only limitations are that you can only purchase up to two tickets per day, and each ticket is valid for 24 hours, giving you a one-day window to complete your transfer.
Before you can initiate a transfer, make sure you meet the following nine conditions:
- Your character is level 1 or above.
- You are in a safe zone.
- You are not in a party.
- You are not in a guild.
- You do not have any pending guild applications.
- You have no unclaimed Auction House items.
- You have claimed all mail.
- You have retrieved items from all Shop Storage Chests.
- You have collected all Gate of Infinity rewards.
You can proceed with the transfer process once you have met the above-mentioned nine conditions. Once you are eligible for a transfer, you can proceed with the following steps:
- Stay in the shop menu and click the Change Servers button located in the top right corner.
- Select the server you want to move to, making sure it is not full.
- Once confirmed, you will be logged out of the game as your character moves to the new server.
When you log back in, your character will be on the selected server, and all your progress from the old server will carry over. However, be aware that if the server is platform-restricted, you may not be able to engage in cross-play with players on different systems.
By purchasing a Server Transfer Ticket and following the requirements, you can enjoy the game on your preferred server with minimal disruption to your progress.
