The Arena in Throne and Liberty is ideal for players who prefer small-scale combat. With different game modes and ranking systems, it can provide both casual and competitive experiences for players with different preferences. Its 3v3 cross-server PvP mode has you test your skills against players from different servers of the game.
In this article, we will guide you on how to unlock and enter the Arena in Throne and Liberty and also provide an overview of the mode.
Arena in Throne and Liberty: Overview and how to enter
Arena matches are available to you once your character reaches level 50. This ensures that you are completely familiar with the combat mechanics and have developed your character's build when you enter the Arena. You can enter it by yourself or with up to three other players.
If you want to play solo, the game will automatically pair you up with other players. Once you’ve reached level 50, you can follow the following steps to enter the Arena:
- In the in-game menu, select the Arena option.
- Choose the game type you want to play when you enter the Arena. Your options here range from Ranked and Regular to Friendly matches.
Keep in mind that leaving Arena matches early will cause you to incur penalties.
The Arena matches feature two maps, one of which is randomly selected at the start of each match. A match has two teams of three players. Your team will be marked in blue, while your opponents will be marked in red. The points system in the Arena matches is based on eliminations, and the goal is to accumulate 200 points.

Every 30 seconds, the game tallies kills and eliminations to distribute points. If either team fails to reach 200 points before the 5-minute timer ends, the team with the highest score wins. Every player gets two Battle Tokens at the start of each match, and whenever you kill an enemy player, you take one of their tokens. This is important, as you will earn bonus points based on the number of tokens your team holds.
During each match, three buffs will appear in the arena, which can significantly impact the outcome of the battle. You can select only one buff to enhance your character's abilities, so choose one that suits your playstyle.

The ranking system is divided into four tiers based on your total Ranking Points:
- Recruit: Up to 1699 points
- Elite: 1700 - 1899 points
- Captain: 1900 - 2199 points
- Grand General: 2200+ points
Even if you are usually matched against opponents with a similar rank, sometimes you may face higher-ranked players. Winning against them rewards more Ranking Points than defeating players at your current level.
