The Episode Echoes Iron Banner in Destiny 2 has brought two new weapons re-issued from past seasons, alongside rewards, emblems, and a chance at the Iron Lord seal. The PvP event is one of the oldest in the game's history, leading the developers to keep it active for two weeks instead of one, starting with The Final Shape expansion.
This article focuses on the new Iron Banner emblem called "Ollywocket" and the steps to obtain it quickly. Many readers will find a comprehensive guide on earning large amounts of EXP from Iron Banner quickly, be it for the emblem or for gilding the Iron Lord seal.

Best EXP farm for Ollywocket emblem and Iron Lord in Destiny 2
1) Starting the farm
Before starting this EXP farm, let us go over how to prepare your selected Destiny 2 class. Taking Warlock as an example in this guide, it is important to understand the aspects that boost EXP gain inside each Iron Banner match.
Once you open the Crucible screen through the Destinations menu, followed by the Iron Banner node, you will see a small circle on the bottom-left of your screen that says "Iron Banner rank boost."
For you, everything should be "0 of 4", "0 of 5," and "0 of 1" in the beginning. The numbers usually mean that you must equip Iron Banner gear pieces on your character, alongside an Iron Banner emblem, and complete weekly challenges. Since you need five Iron Banner gear pieces, you can set your Guardian up as follows:
- Five armor pieces
- Two weapons and three armor
- Three weapons and two armor.
2) Weapons and armor pieces to use
Weapons can be anything from the previous Destiny 2 Iron Banner loot pool, such as Riiswalker Shotgun, Point of the Stag Bow, or Archon's Thunder Machine Gun; paired with any armor piece from past seasons.
Since we are going with Warlock in this guide, the armor set can range from Iron Remembrance of Forsaken to Iron Pledge from Curse of Orisis and anything else that falls under the Iron Banner category.
Lastly, once you have five Iron Banner pieces equipped, get any Iron Banner emblem from your Collections and equip it. This will take care of your class preparations.
3) Challenges
You still have the "0 of 4" section to complete for the "Iron Banner rank boost" circle. Place your cursor on the Iron Banner node within the Crucible screen, and press E on PC to view the challenges. It should be X on consoles.
Iron Banner challenges often require players to simply finish matches or defeat targets with specific elemental subclass equipped.
Once you complete four steps of a challenge, you are eligible for a full rank boost on Iron Banner. Hence, with five Iron Banner pieces equipped, a single emblem, and four challenges completed, you will gain an 11x multiplier in EXP with each Iron Banner match.
4) Farming mercy in Iron Banner
After setting the rank boost multiplier to 11x, you have two options to farm EXP now. First, you can look for a full fireteam via LFG willing to farm mercy with either wins or losses. Since the idea here is to farm EXP quickly, mercy-farming via loss is a viable option as it will grant you decent EXP due to the 11x multiplier.
"Mercy" is a mechanic that triggers when a team is trailing by a large margin in points, leading the match to end significantly quicker than the initial timer. Complete matches and keep repeating until you have enough for Rank 16, which will unlock the emblem, or go further to reset Saladin's reputation for the Iron Lord seal.
