Throne and Liberty's core gameplay loop has several different activities, catering to all kinds of players. NC Soft's new MMO title recently made its mark in the global market, reaching all sorts of players worldwide. Due to this, everyone is looking forward to some of the core aspects of the game, wondering if the title is more PvE or PvP-focused.
The answer to that question is as follows: Throne and Liberty has a nice balance between PvE and PvP. Several variations in core activities can keep a player busy against AI enemies, alongside group events requiring involvement in Guilds and engaging other players in combat.
Hence, the game is focused on both PvE and PvP equally, giving players enough room to make decisions on both sides.
All PvE-focused activities in Throne and Liberty
Throne and Liberty's 1.0 version has many PvE activities to keep players busy for several hours. The primary example of the game's PvP and PvE balance can be seen in the timetable section, accessible from the map. Here, players can view different activities available in the open world, be it world bosses or events.
These activities are shared between "conflicted" and "peaceful" states, signifying the PvP and PvE respectively. Hence, the timetable will show the available "peaceful" bosses and events for anyone looking to run PvE-only activities in the open world. The bluebird icon is "peaceful," and the red crossed swords are "conflicted."
As for other PvE activities, there is a tower-based Dungeon with 20 floors, open-world Dungeons during the daytime, Dungeon challenges with difficulty tiers and instanced Dungeons with difficulty tiers. Players can expect more PvE endgame activities to be added with time, such as Raids.
Lastly, there are daily contracts that cater to the PvE side of the game as well.
All PvP-focused activities in Throne and Liberty
Throne and Liberty was initially developed as a PvP-focused game, with most of the activities revolving around conflicted boss battles, siege activities, and more. While they are still being implemented in the game, players can also dive deep into other PvE activities.
To name some PvP activities, players are recommended to join a guild first and foremost. Joining a guild in this game allows participation in Siege battles that grant in-game tax money to the players, alongside conflicted boss battles in the open world, conflicted events in the open world, Guild Archbosses, and open-world Dungeons at night.
