The 2025 calendar is stocked for all the ARPG fans out there, and Last Epoch has finally thrown their hat into the pile, showcasing a sneak peek of all the projects Eleventh Hour Games has planned for its fledgling title. In recent blog posts, the developer outlined its plans for a new season, including gameplay features, quality-of-life updates, class rebalances, and more.

The previous year has been somewhat of a hit-and-miss for Eleventh Hour Games, with Last Epoch simultaneously enjoying a rousing full release and a subsequent less-than-audacious first season. The situation hasn't been helped by a market crash and a forced in-game economic reset to effectively relaunch Season 1 for players.

Eleventh Hour Games has been hard at work creating the next iteration of Last Epoch's seasonal content update, as evidenced by two of its latest blog posts. The breadth of the content update at the moment is:

  • Monolith of Fate updates
  • Woven Echoes
  • Weaver faction tree
  • Dungeon improvements
  • Sentinel overhaul
  • Champion enemies
  • New endgame bosses
  • Tombs and Cemeteries
  • Endgame crafting additions

The developer has presented insights into each of these additions and updated features, such as Woven Echoes and the new Weaver faction tree, being a part of the endgame systems in place. The Weavers have already been a part of the game for some time, with their upgradable Unique gear being a core component of many leveling and endgame builds.

Players have made their opinions known about the Monolith of Fate and how it needs more polish and regular content infusion to match up to the rest of the genre's endgame offerings.

In Season 2, Eleventh Hour Games is aiming to deliver new side areas titled Tombs and Cemeteries. Whether or not these areas will include the update to undead enemies from the previous patch is unknown.

Further changes in the endgame section include unannounced crafting changes and updates to the roster of bosses in the endgame. The Sentinel class is also being reworked with multiple skills and passives being overhauled. New Passives include Shared Divinity, which will cause Divine Bolt skill to fire extra projectiles, and more.

The rest of the changes include an update to the Dungeons, which will probably translate to easier access to dungeons and their associated unique rewards to make build crafting easier.

Furthermore, Faction Waypoints to The Bazaar and The Observatory will be unlocked much earlier but will not allow travel to Maj'elka for some quick campaign skips.

Gameplay aside, several technical changes are being introduced in 2025, which include targeting adjustments for skills while using controllers. These updates will allow controllers to have greater flexibility to target enemies at different distances rather than being set at max range by default.

The studio is also promising a ton of bug fixes for 2025, some of which have already been announced. Furthermore, reporting bugs is also being made a lot easier, with the F8 key becoming the dedicated key press to open the bug report window.

Some of the proposed bug fixes include:

  • Fixed a bug where Kermode’s Cage did not give your Werebear Form white fur in Online.
  • Fixed a bug where Reaper Form did not switch its model visuals to poison, cold, or blood themes based on conversions allocated in the skill tree in Online.
  • Fixed a bug where Werebear Form did not switch its model visuals to lightning based on conversions allocated in the skill tree in Online.
  • Fixed a bug where Spriggan Form and Swarmblade Form did not switch their model visuals to cold based on conversions allocated in the skill tree in Online.
  • Fixed a bug where Overlay Map Opacity would sometimes reset when re-opening the settings menu.
  • Fixed a bug where Transplant’s Bone Armor started on cooldown when allocated.
  • Fixed a bug where Upheaval did not move its melee, area, and physical or cold tags to minion tags when Upheaval Totems is allocated.
  • For example, Apogee of Frozen Light’s +3 to cold and necrotic minion skills will now correctly apply to Upheaval when Upheaval Totems and Glacial Cascade are allocated.
  • Fixed a bug where Lightning Blast’s Halo Effect was unable to create Spark Novas.
  • Fixed a bug where Explosive Trap would not create additional traps up to your maximum traps if you allocated Blast Rain and No Man’s Land.
  • Fixed a bug where leech provided by skill trees could ignore Boulderfist’s “cannot leech” affix if the player had no other sources of leech.
  • Fixed a bug where the Coordinated Fade node would not provide stacks of Silver Shroud when the ability occupying the designated slot is a combo ability.
  • Fixed a bug where using both Unbroken Prayer & Homeward on Healing Hands makes it so the ability is never actually cast while still going through the animation and consuming mana.
