The celebration of winter in The Division 2 will hit the official servers soon. Players can expect several new additions to the game, including new gear pieces, challenges, enemy mobs, and more. However, unlike last year, the upcoming edition of the winter event will be short but sweet, as each day will bring in something new for the Agents.
The winter event will be released on December 10, 2024. This article lists everything that is coming along with it, as confirmed by Ubisoft via a developer livestream.
The Division 2 winter event full details
The winter event in The Division 2 will have seven days' worth of content. Most of these will be time-trial missions, allowing players to get the associated rewards by finishing them within the limit. Here is a list of every mission that will come to the game as part of the winter event, alongside the corresponding rewards:
- Day 1: Grand Washington Hotel time trial. The reward will include the Helmet from Rudy armor set.
- Day 2: Viewpoint Museum time trial. The reward will include the Pants from Rudy armor set.
- Day 3: DCD Headquarters time trial. The reward will include the Chest Piece from Rudy armor set.
- Day 4: Jefferson Trade Center time trial. The reward will include the Boots from Rudy armor set.
- Day 5: Air and Space Museum time trial. The reward will include the Vest from Rudy armor set.
- Day 6: Potomac Event Center time trial. The reward will include the Snow Machine Named Kneepad.
- Day 7 to 17: Extra time to complete each objective.
Note that the Snow Machine Kneepad's talent applies a snowfall effect on the target, based on every status effect you apply to them. As for the Rudy armor set, each piece is cosmetic only and does not grant any talent or attribute to the user's statistics.
You can choose to complete each objective as they appear throughout the event's runtime or complete all of them at once towards the end.
Similar to other events, the winter event will also have an easy and a hard reward track. The cosmetics and the Kneepad can be picked up from both the easy and hard tracks. However, completing hard tracks will also drop Named Item caches, Optimization caches, Calibration caches, extra EXP, and Exotic components.
Lastly, you might encounter a special loot goblin mob during your run, which can drop loot from the current event and previous events, such as Sommer and Mooncake.
