Mechabre is an event-exclusive weapon available only via Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost. Since It is an Aggressive Framed Sniper Rifle, the weapon has a significantly higher percentage of output damage and Range stat, allowing players to use it against a boss for DPS, as well as other elite enemies. With the recent changes to the weapon's perk pools, its viability has increased with respect to the game's current sandbox in 2024.

The following perks are recommended on the Mechabre for Destiny 2 PvE:

  • Arrowhead Brake for recoil control and Handling
  • Steady Rounds for increased Stability on the weapon
  • Triple Tap for getting a round of ammo back after rapid precision hits
  • Vorpal Weapon for a 15% increase in damage

You can also get Firing Line in the final column, as having teammates will increase the weapon's damage by 20%. Clown Cartridge is a great utility perk for reloading the weapon from reserves.

The following perks are recommended on the Mechabre for PvP:

  • Smallbore for increased Range and Stability
  • Accurized Rounds for increased Range on the weapon
  • Keep Away for increased Accuracy, Range, and Reload when no targets are nearby
  • Closing Time for increased Accuracy, Handling, and Range when the magazine gets lower

Opening Shot is great for improved Accuracy and Range with the first shot. Lone Wolf is another decent perk for increased stats.


How to get Mechabre in Destiny 2

Mechabre can be farmed from the Haunted Sector activity in Festival of the Lost. You can also focus on the weapon in exchange for 1 Eerie Engram and 1000 candies. Eerie Engram can be farmed from Haunted Sectors, alongside candies while having the Festival mask equipped.

Note that the Festival weapons cannot be crafted by any means. However, each perk can be enhanced by increasing the weapon's level.
