New World: Aeternum to run a closed beta test on Consoles for its upcoming cross-play features

New World: Aeternum is the game version that will be released in late 2024 for the console platforms Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The developers at Amazon Games Orange County will also be conducting a week-long Closed Beta taking place from July 11 to July 17 to test out cross-play features that are coming with the release of this Console version of New World. Hence players are eager to know more about the Closed Beta tests and how to access them.

New World is Amazon Games' massively multiplayer online role-playing game released on September 28, 2021. It is set in the seventeenth century, where players must try and colonize a map. The name of the console version comes from Aeternum, the primary site and name of the island in the New World. This is where the players' journey begins with a harsh start as the Sole Survivor, washed ashore on a land that provides them with beautiful woods, hilly landscapes, and various wildlife to discover.

When will the New World Aeternum Closed Beta test for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S be held?

The New World Aeternum Closed Beta test for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will be held from July 11 at 9 am PT till July 17 at 9 am PT. The Closed beta test is invite-only and will allow console gamers from North America and Europe. An invitation is not guaranteed since there will only be a limited player capacity in this Closed Beta.

The selected participants will be able to personalize their characters, try out new weaponry, and explore huge, spooky zones before New World: Aeternum's full release on October 15. Players will also get the ability to check out end-game stuff.

Players who are interested in this Closed Beta test for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S can sign up here. A point to note, however, is that by signing up, players will accept that if selected, their participation in this pre-release test is subject to a Non-Disclosure Agreement outlined in Section 2.8 of Amazon Games' Terms of Service. Therefore players must not divulge any information obtained from this Closed Beta test.

Players who get approval for the Confidential Console Closed Beta will get to download the closed-beta build of the game beginning July 9 at 9 am PT. Game servers will be under maintenance until the confidential Console Closed-Beta begins on July 11 at 9 am PT.
