New World Aeternum is out and if you're new to this MMORPG, your first question might be, "How to make money fast in New World Aeternum?" or something along those lines. As with all MMORPGs, money is the game's lifeblood, and it's no different here. You can use New World Coins as they are called to purchase items and resources as you advance through the game.

You will also need New World Coins to pay tax so to speak, for using certain services in-game, especially those related to crafting or refining of resources. The fee or tax will vary on several factors, but usually, it will not break the bank even when crafting high-tier items. With that in mind, here are a few ways to make money fast in New World Aeternum.

Resource Gathering and Crafting

When it comes to making money, there is no faster way than gathering resources to sell at the Trading Post. High-tier resources are often in demand even on heavily populated servers. Moreover, common resources are also sought after by high-level players.

Resources can be widely classified into eight categories, which are:

  • Stone
  • Ore
  • Animal Hide
  • Wood
  • Fiber
  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Herbs

Stone is the most common of all resources, followed by Wood to a certain extent, which has a few tiers. Next would Ore, Animal Hide, Fiber, and Herbs. Fruits and Vegetables are more of a situational type of resource.

If you want to mint money in New World Aeternum quickly, consider actively farming these resources as much as possible. You will need to level up your combat skills as well to deal with enemies while gathering resources. So, do not ignore this aspect completely.

Aside from gathering resources, you can also put them to use to create new items/weapons that other players might need. Usually, potions and consumables are the most in demand. Depending on certain builds, characters will need a lot of them.

Ignots and other refined items like gems are also highly sought after. Crafting these will take some time, but it's not a wasted effort as you will level up your character's stats in skills related to resource gathering and crafting.

Once you have enough resources (raw or refined), you can head over to the in-game Trading Post and list them for sale. You will need to pay the fee/tax to get them listed, but hopefully, the profit you make by selling the items will be worth the time. Remember, that since this is purely based on players' supply and demand, transactions may not always be fruitful.

Quests and Town Projects

If gathering resources and selling them to turn a profit is not your thing, fret not. You can also earn New World Coins in New World Aeternum by completing Quests and Town Projects. However, keep in mind that most Town Projects do involve a fair bit of resource collecting.

As such, you cannot escape the need to level up skills related to resource gathering for very long. With money on the line, it's best to strike a balance between fighting and farming. Since the skills will not go to waste, there's no harm in switching between these two activities occasionally.

Things to remember when trying to make money in New World Aeternum

Remember that although money in New World Aeternum is important, it's not something you need all the time. Since you can craft items/weapons and consumables, New World Coins don't play a vital role in the grand scheme of things.

If you level up other skills aside from combat, you will become self-sufficient in no time. You will be able to craft most of what you need, and even if it takes a while, it will be worth it in the long run.

That said, be sure to craft improved resource-oriented tools to increase the efficiency of collecting resources. It will reduce the overall time needed to harvest things you need.
