How to start the Nightveil Hallow in New World Aeternum

To kick off Nightveil Hallow in New World: Aeternum, head to the central areas of any main city. You’ll find a Bubbling Cauldron with a Witchhunter NPC named Salvatore. He will be your point of contact for starting the event's quests and also serve as the handler for its reward shop.

As mentioned, Neightveil Hallow can be completed multiple times each day to farm Event Reputation and Nightveil Coins for exclusive rewards. To begin, talk to Salvatore and select the "Start Quest" option. This will unlock the Baalphazu's Fall quest, which sends players on a mission to hunt down and defeat Baalphazu. Each victory over this world boss grants Event Reputation, unlocking more rewards in Salvatore's shop.

How to Complete Baalphazu's Fall New World Aeternum Nightveil Hallow event

Baalphazu's Attacks & Mechanics:

Attack Name	Description
Circle of Vacuum	Baalphazu channels a green expanding circle. Ranged players at the outer edges will be pulled in, stunned, and damaged.
Branch Attack	A simple, blockable attack. Stay behind the boss to avoid it or use a shield or Two-Handed Weapon to block. Cannot be parried with Rapier abilities.
Branch Smite	When Baalphazu shouts, "I Will Destroy You," he performs an unblockable area strike. Deals massive damage; dodge or stay far away.
Teleport	Baalphazu can teleport to various corners of the arena.
Summon Adds	Baalphazu summons three types of mobs: Pumpkinites (explode on death), Gourdspewer, and Calabashers (drop healing zones when killed).
Pumpkin Fall	Upon a Pumpkinite's death, damaging pumpkins rain down in AoE patterns. Dodge the pumpkins, then throw fallen ones at Baalphazu to briefly stun him.

Strategy:

• For Ranged DPS: Maintain distance from Baalphazu. Stay far enough to avoid his Circle of Vacuum but close enough to react to his teleport and dodge incoming Pumpkin Fall.
• For Melee DPS: Focus on staying behind Baalphazu and deal damage from the rear. Allow tankier players to kite him while you avoid major attacks like Branch Smite and Pumpkin Fall. Pick up Pumpkinite heads when possible and throw them to stun Baalphazu for a brief window of increased damage output.
• For Tanks: Be careful of your stamina. The Branch Smite and Pumpkin Fall are both unblockable and deal heavy damage, so dodge when needed. If your health drops below 50%, retreat and dodge until you recover.
• For Healers: Prioritize area healing around the boss. Keep an eye out for incoming Pumpkinites and stay mobile to avoid their explosions. Since all players within the arena will receive rewards, your contribution can be focused on keeping everyone alive rather than landing hits on Baalphazu.

After the boss fights, return to Salvatore’s cauldron to interact with it and finish the quest, claiming additional rewards.

Each time players complete the Baalphazu's Fall daily quest, they will receive a Nightveil Hallow Cache. However, there are other ways to get additional caches:

• By defeating Baalphazu during the world boss event.
• By collecting Spooky Provision Baskets scattered around Aeternum while wearing a full Nightveil Hallow costume.
• By purchasing caches directly from Salvatore’s shop using Nightveil Coins.

As you increase your Event Reputation, they will earn more Nightveil Coins, making it easier to purchase rewards from the shop.
