Destiny 2 announced the availability of all Master Raid challenges for a week. The Master Salvation's Edge is one of the pinnacle endgame activities in the current season. Aside from the Grandmaster Nightfall Strikes, there is nothing like a tougher version of the most challenging Raid.
However, players came across a major issue while completing some of the encounter challenges associated with the Master version of the Raid.
Currently, anyone who has completed the challenges does not have the triumph unlocked. While the company did implement a minor fix last week, it did not seem to have any effect on the retroactive side of achievements, as the encounter triumphs are locked even today.
As of the July 23 weekly reset, Bungie has extended the challenge availability by one week. Hence, the new date is from July 23 to August 6. Before, it was July 23 to 30.
All Master Raid challenges will be unlocked for a week in Destiny 2
There are five encounters in Destiny 2 Salvation's Edge, all of which have a challenge each for the Master version, alongside the standard. Players must complete all challenges to unlock the seal, called Iconoclast. At the time of writing this article, the first four encounters have had their respective Master challenges unlocked every week.
However, the problem with these challenges is that one of the ultimate rewards from completion, the triumph for the seal, is not available. Regarding this issue, Bungie stated the following:
"Over the last few weeks, we’ve been investigating an issue where Master Challenges in Salvation's Edge were not being tracked upon completion by the Ignited Light Triumph. While we issued a fix (link to patch notes) on Tuesday this week to further prevent the issue, we were unable to retroactively credit players with previous completions."
Explaining the implementation of the fix, the company stated:
"Starting July 23, all Master Challenges will be active for one week, until July 30 before maintenance time. This will provide an opportunity for all to earn their Turmoil Engine Sparrow, acquire their Iconoclast title, and earn some additional Adept weapons along the way."
Hence, players can complete all challenges in a single run, starting from the first encounter to the last.
