The annual Halloween event in Destiny 2 will bring many new things that players will likely enjoy. The Festival of the Lost is a long-standing event that appears every year, allowing players to farm weapons, armor pieces, currencies, and a time-limited seal. Moreover, Bungie seems to be releasing a new firearm differently this time, as it will feature a new combination of archetype and weapon type.
The gear piece has been confirmed to be named "Arcane Embrace," an Arc Shotgun that comes with a Heavy Burst Framed archetype. This archetype can currently be found with a few Hand Cannons, such as Warden's Law, Bold Endings, Yesterday's Question, and more.
However, none of the Shotguns have ever seen this archetype being implemented, let alone be available for a limited time. Hence, it is exciting news for everyone to have a significant change in a filler episode of the game.

New Shotgun archetype confirmed for Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2024
The new "Arcane Embrace" Shotgun in the upcoming Festival of the Lost event will be a Heavy Burst Framed weapon. This means that players will get a two-burst Shotgun for the first time in the game, that too via a time-limited annual event. This inclusion will become unavailable once the event ends.
As mentioned, the archetype "Heavy Burst" can be found in multiple Hand Cannons, which fall under the Primary Ammo category.
Hence, the Arcane Embrace will be the first Shotgun to have this powerful archetype and the first Special Ammo weapon as well. Here is the list of available perks:
- Third column: Air Trigger, Fourth Time's the Charm, Grave Robber, Lone Wolf, Slideshot, Dual Loader, Threat Detector
- Fourth column: Closing Time, Desperado, Precision Instrument, Surrounded, Tap the Trigger, Voltshot
Players should note this weapon will not be available for crafting and must be obtained via drops from events only.
Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2024 is scheduled to start on October 29, 2024, and is expected to carry on for three weeks.
