Diablo 4 players have been stressed about the Iron and Rawhide quantity from salvaging - but according to Adam Fletcher, patch 2.0.3 is going to fix that. Two of the most common crafting resources in the entire game have come under fire by players, especially those in the late game. The ones in the early-mid game haven't come across a lot of problems, but the closer you get to the end, these two resources become incredibly scarce, especially for those looking to Temper powerful uniques or other items.
D4 patch 2.0.3, going out later this week, will address the Iron and Rawhide problem. Although you won’t be able to purchase these resources, there is a solution being put in place, among the other updates and fixes in that patch.
Diablo 4 developer confirms Iron and Rawhide issues will be fixed in Patch 2.0.3
According to D4’s Global Director of Community Adam Fletcher, the Iron and Rawhide problem is going to be addressed. The problem players are facing right now is that salvaging gear doesn’t net enough Iron or Rawhide, especially for those in the late-game, trying to Temper and Masterwork their high-end uniques.
However, not every player is having issues with both resources since it depends on what kind of gear you’re trying to Temper. Trying to upgrade a new, powerful Unique that drops in Season 6 and not having one of the most common resources can be incredibly frustrating.
Apart from claiming that Blizzard could make the resources purchasable, a player suggested an “interim fix” of being rewarded with more Iron and Rawhide when salvaging gear. As it turns out, that’s the fix that the developers are going to implement. Salvaging gear after this update will give you greater amounts of the appropriate resources.
This will come in alongside several other changes, such as the Evade Spiritborn Frame Break fix, and a fix that will stop players from randomly losing their Seething Opal buffs. While this is likely a very simple change, it’s an important one that will help players upgrade their new gear in Season 6. Do note that the exact date/time of this update is currently unknown, but is scheduled for "later this week."
