"New Battlegrounds are great"—Destiny 2 community praises Bungie for new seasonal activities 

The Destiny 2 community has always criticized Battlegrounds in every season. While it fit right for players to have them as seasonal activities, opinions started to form when Bungie implemented these into the Nightfall pool. Based on most opinions, Battlegrounds should stay in separate game mode, as the company should release more original Strikes per season.

This opinion, however, seems to have taken quite a turn in Act 2 of Episode Echoes, as a Reddit post surfaced online praising the new Battlegrounds. The post comes from user Baron 623, stating:

"New Battlegrounds are great."

Week 1 of Echoes Act 2 brought two Battlegrounds for players to farm loot: Delve and Conduit, both in the depths of Nessus. Both Battlegrounds follow a similar mission structure, where players must push through a wave of enemies in the first section, followed by multiple collectibles, and a boss fight at the end.

The post in question here states the following regarding the Battlegrounds in Act 2:

"Bungie, y’all absolutely cooked with these new battleground. Might as well just call them strikes and throw them in the playlist."

From having a pretty negative reaction to getting three Battlegrounds in this update, the players now want Bungie to put these Battleground missions in the Strike pool. Many players came forward sharing the same sentiment, stating a few factors that make these new missions great.

One player states that the boss' health-gate system has been handled pretty well, and the completion time doesn't take too long. Some of these simple changes have been regarded as greater additions and received well by everyone.

Bungie did say it wanted to blend Battlegrounds with regular Strike, and sure enough, the new activities have all the elements to be a standalone Strike.
