Once Human has faced its first technical error moments after its release, where players will be locked into the first character that they create on a specific server. The game just saw its global release moments back and this technical glitch has already worried players globally. Currently, you can only create one character, and you will not be able to delete it.

In this article, we explore the error and take a look at what developers NetEase have to say about the first major technical glitch that Once Human players are currently facing on launch day.

Once Human, the highly anticipated free-to-play MMO title has faced a major hurdle, where players cannot delete their character, and more importantly, they cannot switch servers with their current account. Taking to the official Discord server, developers mentioned:

"Be aware to choose your server! Due to some tech issues, you can only create one character, and you can NOT delete your character. This means if you chose the wrong server, you can not switch to any other servers with your current account."

With the inability to switch servers or create new characters, players who have already selected a server might be in trouble if their friends are not in the same server region.

On the other hand, players who have not currently logged in to the game face a greater dilemma - should they wait this glitch out and potentially miss precious time to grind with their friends, or should they jump the wagon and join their friends in whichever server they are on?

Given that Once Human's character selection has a significant effect on players' stats and passive buffs, players who were not fully aware of this feature might be stuck with a suboptimal build, which can prove worrisome for their gameplay in the long run.

Update: The issue is now fixed, as developers have implemented multiple-character creation now. You can safely create another character for another server. A recent post form the developer says:

"We initially closed multi-character creation because the experience wasn't up to snuff. We wanted to perfect it by August 1, but that plan backfired. Sorry about that! We appreciate your understanding as we work to make things right for you."
