The Forgotten Monolith seasonal challenge in Once Human is a tricky one. Though the Seasonal Exploration challenge tasks you with going to “Forgotten Monolith”, the zone was renamed “Forsaken Monolith”. You will need to leave a message at this location for one of your Seasonal Goals. What makes the challenge tricky is the high level of the zone and dangerous enemies.
Completing the actual puzzle for the Forgotten Monolith challenge is easy enough. If you aren’t certain where to find it, or how to complete this task, we’re here to get you back on track and make sure you get your rewards for your Seasonal Journey.
How to complete the Forgotten Monolith challenge in Once Human
Among your Seasonal Exploration missions in Once Human’s second week is “Leave a message in the Forgotten Monolith”. The reason that this challenge has been puzzling players left and right is that the zone was renamed Forsaken Monolith in the retail launch of the game. This is a level 50 area, located in the Red Sands, so you should make sure you’re strong enough to get there.
If you need specific coordinates, the Forgotten Monolith can be found at (1933, -1486) in Once Human. The Red Sands area is dangerous but is also a solid place to farm for Tungsten Ore. Once you’re at the proper location for the Forgotten Monolith challenge, you’ll have to slaughter your way through a base of powerful, well-equipped enemies.
You may have a Teleportation Tower you can access here if you’ve already been to this zone. If so, you can teleport in, and simply head to the southwest section of the map, where the coordinates mentioned above will take you. When you get there, leave your Whisper on the ground, and write a message on it. What you write doesn’t really matter. If you aren’t sure if you’re close enough, press “Q” on your keyboard.
This will show other nearby Whispers, and let you know if you’re at the right spot to complete the Forgotten Monolith challenge. Whispers can be easily made using 5 logs at the Supplies Workbench. This particular area is dangerous though, so it would help to have some strong combat Deviations, such as the new Mini Feaster.
