Murmurs in The Forest is one of many story missions in Once Human's campaign. Completing this mission in particular will set up a fight with the next boss in the story. However, this can be a challenging encounter if you're still a beginner. There's no level requirement, but it's recommended to reach at least level 15 before trying to progress past Murmurs in The Forest.
The quest should kick off once you defeat the Ravenous Hunter boss, and unlock the Broken Delta. Here's the key highlights of what to expect from the Murmurs in the Forest quest in Once Human.
Once Human Murmurs In The Forest quest: Starting the quest
As a story quest, Murmurs in The Forest is meant to lead you to the second story boss, and it starts automatically as you make progress in the game. Once it's in your quest tab, you can head over to Broken Delta, which is the southern part of Dayton Wetlands. After making your way across here, you'll find Mary, identifiable by her white hair and lab coat.
Mary will send you towards an abandoned hideout to the north. Make your way inside and continue exploring the hideout. There are tons of enemies inside, so make sure you craft different types of ammo before taking on Murmurs in the Forest. Navigate through the facility until you find a deviation called Remnants of the Forest.
Investigating this deviation will lead you to a Rift Space. Inside this area, you will find several tendril-like enemies. Aim at the glowing red spot in the middle of their bodies to make short work of them. Now, head to the end of the Rift where you will come across the Treant's Copy boss. This is essentially a shadow of the upcoming Monolith boss - and while the mechanics are the same, this clone is not as durable.

Now, exit the Rift Space, and activate the Rift Anchors to gain access to the Gaia Cliff Monolith. You will be able to face off against the real Treant boss, which is the final step in the Murmurs in The Forest quest. While you can beat everything up till this point even if you're under the recommended level of progression, this is where you should be prepared.
To make the encounter manageable, make sure to have a long-range option like DE.50 (Tier-2) and plenty of Copper ammunition to chew through the boss' health.
Once you're done, the Monolith boss itself will drop its own rewards, plus you'll get Energy Links and other goodies as quest rewards for your troubles.
