Once Human: How to craft Nalcott Easter Eggs

Once Human features a fascinating late-game consumable in the form of Nalcott Easter Eggs. Featured in the third closed beta test, their cost was increased once the game launched. While these consumables are not guaranteed to drop anything good, there is a chance for fantastic late-game items. It’ll take time and effort to get to the point where you can make them, but they’re certainly worthwhile.

One word of warning though: this consumable hits you with a massive Sanity loss, so make sure you have items that prevent Sanity loss before you eat them, such as Sanity Gummies.

How to make Nalcott Easter Eggs in Once Human

You’re going to need to dig deep into the Memetics system in Once Human if you want to make Nalcott Easter Eggs. In particular, you need the best kitchen available to you in the game right now: Kitchen Set (Integrated Kitchen Memetic). The next step is to have the Level 45 Memetic Specialization mastery Nalcott Easter Egg, found in the Ninth Memetic Specialization.

Once you have both of these, you can make Nalcott Easter Eggs in Once Human. You’ll need the materials to make them: eggs, flowers, and Stardust Source (which comes from Startrace Ores). You will need these specific amounts:

• 60 Stardust Source
• 15 of one of the following flowers: Bellflower, Honeysuckle, Scarlet Calamus, Coneflower, or Yellow Lotus
• 20 of one of the following flowers: Bellflower, Honeysuckle, Scarlet Calamus, Coneflower, or Yellow Lotus
• Three Eggs

You can either make the recipe using 35 of one flower or 15 of one and 20 of another. That’s entirely up to you. Consuming one reduces your Sanity by 500, and gives 100 Energy/Hydration. Your reward is the random contents you’d find in a Settlement Loot Crate. This means you can pick up some incredible armor and weapon mods, or other useful items. As it’s random, you may have to consume several of these eggs to get something powerful.

What you’re doing is essentially gacha gambling, only you don’t have to spend real-world money on these pulls. Eating Nalcott Easter Eggs in Once Human can give you some useful items, but you have to craft them.

It’s an item you want to eat when you’re feeling particularly lucky because there is a chance of high-level rewards. If you plan on eating several of them at a time though, we highly recommend having Sanity Gummies, Malt Ale, or whatever your Sanity-saving item of choice is.

Otherwise, you could put yourself in a very dangerous situation. Malt Ale is arguably the best since it prevents Sanity loss for 30 minutes. Once you’ve unlocked the Memetic mastery for Once Human’s Nalcott Easter Eggs, you can gamble to your heart’s content.
