Power generation is a vital aspect of Once Human. Those who've played games like Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 will know the importance of having a power source for their settlements. A similar process is necessary in Once Human, as it draws heavy inspiration from the Fallout series in its crafting and base-building mechanics.
In Once Human, every advanced home interior, defense system, and many other amenities and necessities require an active power source to function. At first, setting up a functional power grid may seem complex, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that difficult to get power running in your base.
How to Generate Power in Once Human
To generate power in Once Human, the first thing you need is a power source. To unlock this, check your Memetic menu. Under the Logistics menu, scroll down to the third tier named Ascendance. In this tree, you can unlock one of the most convenient power sources: the solar panel.

Once you unlock the Solar Panel, craft it through the build mode. The ideal place for the solar panel is a roof with direct sunlight. Crafting a Solar Panel requires some basic materials, which shouldn't be difficult to obtain, except for the fuse, which you'll need to craft individually. To craft a fuse, go to the Supplies Workbench and combine copper, glass, and scrap metal.
After obtaining the fuse, build your Solar Panel. Once the power source is set, you'll need a power relay system. You can build pylons and terminals to direct electricity. Build these in the corners of the base and attach a wire from the power source to the pylon and then attach another wire from the pylon to the electronics that need power.

After completing these steps, start powering up your electronics. Keep in mind that every electronic device requires a certain wattage to function. If your power source cannot generate the required amount of energy, create more and connect them. Although we've only discussed Solar Power, you'll unlock many other power sources in Once Human as you progress through the game.
The power sources include hydro, wind, biomass, solar, and anomaly generators. Biomass is one of the first power sources you unlock, but unlike the solar panel, you have to constantly fuel it to keep it functional.
That's all for the Power Generation guide for Once Human. We hope this information will help you set up power grids in your base.
