Simplified Task Mode Explained:

This mode is best for returning players who have already experienced the main story in previous seasons. The Simplified Task Mode allows you to skip through content you've already completed.

Key Features:

  • Skip story missions: You won't need to replay any story missions you've finished before. Instead, when interacting with story NPCs, you'll automatically complete the quests, receiving rewards without having to watch cutscenes or follow the dialogue.
  • Faster progression: Ideal if you want to quickly dive into new seasonal content without having to slog through the main storyline.

Downsides:

  • Limited Rewards: Some important quest rewards, like Deviations and the Motorcycle, won't unlock through the main quests. You'll need to find or unlock these in other ways, such as building a Garage for the Motorcycle.

Complete Task Mode Explained:

Ideal for new players, in the Complete Task Mode, you'll play every main story mission from start to finish, including all cutscenes and rewards.

Key Features:

  • Full Story: Complete every main mission, watch all the cutscenes, and immerse yourself in the world of Once Human as intended.
  • Unlock All Rewards: By completing the missions, you'll receive all the quest-specific rewards, including Deviations and the Motorcycle, through natural progression.

Downsides:

  • Repetitive: If you're a returning player, it may feel repetitive, as you'll need to go through the entire story again before getting to access the new seasonal content.
